Our Story

“We wanted to bring a piece of Pittsburgh, because even though the numbers in our zip-code have changed, our hearts are forever in 412”

“I would always reserve a special place in my heart for Pittsburgh”

-Willie Stargell

In 2017, my family moved from Pittsburgh to South Carolina. My sister attended Charleston Southern University, where she studied to become a teacher. While attending the university, she met her future husband and began to plant her roots in the south.

In 2021, her now husband proposed to her and the fun of planning a wedding began (and boy was it fun). Although she was holding the wedding ceremony in South Carolina, one of the ideas my mother brought to the table (pun intended) was to have a Pittsburgh Cookie Table. To anyone who is unaware of this, and I would be surprised if you were if you’ve made it this far, a Pittsburgh Cookie table is an age old tradition of having a table full of various cookies of all different kinds at the wedding ceremony. Once the idea was cleared and we decided to do it, my mother reached out with an idea…”let’s bring another piece of Pittsburgh to the wedding”. She wanted to celebrate the history of both my sister and the groom by having something special to each of their home towns on the cookie table. I started to ponder over ideas, and we eventually decided to explore the idea of how we could bring the Roberto Clemente Bridge along side the Ravenel Bridge (a famous bridge in Charleston, SC).

I spent a good bit of time mauling over the idea and after countless hours of searching the internet, we couldn’t come up with any item that really did the bridge justice. That’s when I decided, if I couldn’t find something currently available, I would try my hand at making it myself! By doing so, I found I was able to add in all of the little details that made the Roberto Clemente bridge so special and unique to our wonderful city. Once I completed my design, I built it and it made the 10 hour trip from Pittsburgh to Charleston with a car full of my girlfriend and Australian Shepherd.

The bridges received such an amazing response, I eventually had multiple people reach out to me about purchasing one for their events! I then started to have requests for the Smithfield Bridge, and then the Fort Pitt Bridge, and even the Cathedral of Learning. I spent many hours of my days modeling and designing each individual product until I found myself with an entire line of Pittsburgh memorabilia.

And thus, Print412 came into fruition! I thank everyone that has supported me on my journey and I look forward to bringing a special piece of Pittsburgh to each and every one of your special events. Let’s continue to celebrate and be proud of the amazing city we call home!
